Kathryn Erbe

  

Kathryn Elsbeth Erbe, born 5 July 1965, is an American actor. Her best-known work is her role as Alexandra Eames on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, the spin-off of Law & Order, and Shirley Bellinger in the HBO series Oz.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Erbe is the daughter of Elsbeth Erbe and Richard Erbe, was born in Newton Massachusetts. Her father, Richard Erbe, is a geneticist. In 1989 she received her degree from New York University (NYU).



 



 Career



 Erbe Erbe, an NYU undergraduate student, was part of the cast as Lynn Redgrave's daughter on the sitcom Chicken Soup.
